  1. Hi All,

I am using Pinnacle and have sucessfully burned a DVD.

Now I need to recover the HD space used and get ready to burn another.

Where are the files I need to delete?

    Thanks,

Go to the start button, then search....and do a search for *.vob. It will show u where yer files are.

A small suggestion....any time u save sumthin or convert sumthin that creates output files....direct them towards a temp folder u create on yer desktop. Surely in pinnacle u can tell it where you want it to go. If u don't, it will default to some other file, probably in the pinnacle program folder.

If you didn't change the defaul then the files will be in the 'My Documents/Pinnacle/Auxillary' folder. You can change that to where you want in the Settings when you Make Disk or Make Movie.

It isn't just enough to find and delete all files necessary.

If you maintain an assortment of various files on the drive along with the video capture files, you should defragment the drive regularly. If you don't, over time the collected files and deleted files will create extraneous, holes of empty space all throughout the drive.

To maintain the best in throughput and capturing, keeping the drive either empty - or regularly defragmented - will always keep your captures at their best.

(At least, as "best" as the rest of your computer's capabilities will allow.)
Whatever doesn't kill me, merely ticks me off. (Never again a Sony consumer.)
