Hi

right here goes I have an sVCD movie and I want to use the scandata.dat that came with it .
so the question is. How do I remove the one that is in the NERO(5.5.5.1)EXT folder?

I have tried to remove but it won't budge.
I think if I use the DAt that came with the movie I might get perfect sync & ff/rw

someone advise me I am ready to burn!

Just write one of your own. Put the text SCAN_VCD in a text file called SCANDATA.DAT and use it in Nero. Make sure you do not:

a) use a dash; use an underscore
b) insert a return after the text.

Make sure you do:
a) use a text editor like Windows Notepad
b) do a SEARCH in the Forums FIRST next time you have an issue.

It isn't necessary to do this anymore -- Nero 5.5.5.1 actually does put the SCAN_VCD in the SCANDATA.DAT file.

You only need to do it with version 5.5.3.5 and before. Version 5.5.4.0 will not let you change the one in the EXT folder (which does not work).

So you will have FF/RW capability throughout, but I believe the GOTO function and remaining track time for tracks 2+ will not work.
