I want to create a SVCD (PAL) with 5.1 AC3 Dolby digital sound. My source is a .vob file with a AC3 5.1 audio stream. ffmpegX always generates a .mp2 stereo audiofile. Is there a step by step guide to preform this action? Thanks for any help.

SVCD requires mp2 audio. Ac3 is not valid for SVCD. If you do take SVCD compliant video and multiplex it with Ac3 audio what you have created is a XSVCD (non compliant)
