I just downloaded some utility called WM Recorder. With it I can record streamed video. What I see in browser window, the utility records. My question is whether I can somehow improve quality of downloaded video? My connection is 128Kbps, but nothing much. When recording, I need not to view it, just need download as good data as possible. Is it possible to somehow 'slow down real time' on my PC when recording so there will be be more downloaded (and more accurate) data from server? The downloaded video is archive, not live broadcast. Does anybody have any experieces? Thanks.

Depending on what format (Real/WM etc..) the streaming content is, Streambox VCR is a very good tool which allows you to save the stream to your hard disk.
I think it's in the tools section now...

Well if you download anything but live streams.
As far as I know the bandwidth of WM Recorder is controlled by Windows Media Player so it would be impossible to record with a qulity better than you have.
As for other stream recorders like HiDownload you may choose a higher bandwidth (in the recorder settings) and in case of the multiple bandwidth streams or just streams with a higher bandwidth you should receive a better quality.
