I have managed to save DTS PCM sound from an old laserdisc to WAV, which seems to be perfectly alright. I am sure because when I burn it back to audio CD, it plays as regular DTS sound.

How can I convert this DTS.wav to regular DTS bitstream that will allow me to multiplex it with picture on a DVD. I tried wav2dts.exe but I had some problems with that. The final result wouldnt play any sound at all. So, how to convert the original dts.wav to DTS bitstream, keeping in mind that the oiginal sample rate from the wav is 44 khz.

    Hope you can help me.

I think you need something like surcode (which ain't cheap) to make a real DTS file...

  3. maybe it requires that the source wav be 48 khz - have you tried that?

    Hi,

yes I have at least thought about having 48khz for the source material. But how do I convert 44 to 48khz without screwing up the the DTS wav. The source originally comes from DTS CDs that are of course 44khz.

    Greetings
