  1. Good day. Just wanted to ask for some info and assistance re my panasonic pv-dv52d mini-dv camcorder.

I'm running windows 98se, have installed a new firewire card (DV1000LE). When i connect via firewire the camera and check under device manager, it recognizes it as an imaging device. My firewire is also recognized as 1394 bus controller. Now my question is :

Under imaging device, it is suppose to recognize it as MICROSOFT DV CAMERA OR VCR doesn't it ? in my device manager only an icon of a video camera is displayed. When I check its properties, it says this device is working properly. Now when i use premiere 6.5 to capture video my status whenever I enable device control, it is offline. When I also use scenalyzer live it cannot detect my camera. (I have also set my camera to vtr mode )

Hope you could extend some assistance or any info regarding my inquiry.

    tnx and God bless.

Haven't you already posted this same thing 4 times already. Why do you keep reposting the exact same thing over and over and over and over again.

Sorry if i caused you any problem. I was just looking for someone who by chance have the same unit as mine or anybody who has experienced the same situation. So far I haven't gotten any response from the first time i posted my inquiry. This forum has been very helpful to me since I am new to this. Very informative and so far all my previous posts were welcomed by other members. Sorry if i have violated any rules with regards to posting.

You have caused me no problems but it is against forum rules to do multiple posts. Here is a short portion of the forum rules:

    General rules
You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP addresses of all posts are recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. General posting rules and tips:

Please try to do some basic research before posting.
Most fundamental questions are answered on the How To's on this site.

    Use the Forum search feature.
Using the search can yield rich rewards as most questions have already been previously answered.

Do not post the same topic on several forums.
Please do not cross post, once is enough.

Please try not to "bump" your topic.
Replying to your own topic to get it to the top is annoying. Try to have some patience, this is a bulletin board, not IRC. It may take some time (e.g., one or two days) before someone can answer your query or question.

    Do not hijack topics.
Please try to stick to the author's first post in each topic, if you want to discuss something else, create a new topic.

Try to choose a subject that describes your topic.
Please do not use topic subjects like Help me!!! or Problems.
