I am having trouble putting this .divx file on to a disc it is too large to put on one disc, and was wondering how to cut the format .divx into two parts. It isn't a .avi file that is why I ask. Thanks!

If you are trying to ONLY store the data and NOT make it a VCD type CDR I use WinRAR archiving program to span the file into multiple pieces so they can be put on more than one disk. Later I can reconstruct the two files as one w/ winrar also. Not sure if this is what you are trying to do. If not Sorry.

are you sure it isnt an avi file? because i know the vidomi encoder creates divx movies with a default extension of .divx.. its pretty much the same thing, just a different extension.. it doesnt really matter..
how big is the file?
