  1. i have been getting this message when trying to play a vcd i burned on my sony dvd player. what does this mean? i can supply more detailed info if needed. thanks in advance!

  3. converted an avi to mpg with tmpeg, burned with nero.
    only weird things are that the avi was @23 fps (not 23.97 which was what it said it would be) is that normal ? im new to this :\ also the mpg was 720 megs, but nero didnt say anything about the mpg being too big when i burned it.

    I thought that error for Sony DVD players simply meant that it couldn't read the disc (e.g., dirty disc).

    If you are using CD-R media in a Sony player, the most likely explanation for this is that your player can't read your type of media...

    I suggest that you try to see if an audio CD burnt on the same type of media will play on your player.

    To solve a media compatibility problem, your only solution to to try out different brands of CD-R media until you find one that works. CD-RW often works better. Many people have had difficulty with Sony units playing recordable CD media in the past so if you do a search of the forums, you'll get an idea on what media brands may work.
