Hope that subject line is clear.
This is for anyone desperately trying to take something you recorded with your DVD recorder, and then add nice menus using some authoring software, only to find that your audio is out of sync!
I kept trying to re-author my recorded DVDs, but always encountered sync problems. I did lots of searches, and tried lots of different software, but never had any luck. Even the guides on how to fix audio sync didn't work for me.
Last night someone suggested I try TMPGEnc Author and read directly from the VOB. I did, and it worked perfectly! What's more, it was very fast--I don't think it even had to re-encode my video.
TMPGEnc isn't the greatest when it comes to nice menus (like DVD Workshop), but hey, it has fixed a major thorn in my side, so I'm willing to give it a shot.
I hope this helps anyone encountering the same DVD recorder/authoring problem.
