powervcsr2 ver3 - sound problems

I can get this to make an mpeg straight away which saves the virtual dub and tmpeg longer route for files that quality is not a fundamental. The only thing is there is no sound on the resulting file. It says in the options that the creative live 5.1 is the recoding device and I have tried via the microphone as well as line in but no joy. I hear the sound OK though when recording.
There is no audio problem recording with virtual dub or any other program (asus live vcr, windows recorder etc etc etc)
Is there any issues with powervcr ?
anybody using this and getting it to work ?

Are you using a wintv pci card?

capture card is
asus 7700 delux
system is 1.3 Athlon Tbird, 40 gig 7200 rpm hd - 10 gig partition for captures - frequent defrag.
1.5 gigs ram (limited to 512 megs in vcache)
creative 5.1 pro soundcard.

I have no problems with any other applicationwhen capturing audio - with or without video, only with power vcr

i also have the same problem. i cannot record audio. i used asus 6800 for video and soundblaster for audio.
