nero and dvd shrink?

I'm having a problem playing the burned dvdr on my computer, I keep getting the message disk error, try cleaning disc.
I'm using latest nero, and the dvd rom video burning method, and compressed files by dvd shrink.
The resulting dvdr plays perfectly on stand alone dvd player, but not my PC.
Anybody can help?

From what i have read it seems that it depends what DVD Playback software you are using on your PC and also what media you have burned onto.

I use Cyberlink PowerDVD 5.0 for playback on a SONY DRU-510AK Writer on Datawrite Classic Yellow Disc's and 4X Bulkpaq Disc's.

Everything plays fine on the pc and the standalone and these were burnt with Nero 6.0 from DVD Shrink compressed files.

I also use power dvd 5 for playback, and have LG dvd writer GS4040 which is new.
The media I use is Verbatim DVD+R and DVD+RW which are both fine because they played OK on stand alone DVD player.
I only have this problem with compressed files.
When I ripped a small DVD using smart ripper and burned it with nero using the same method, it played fine both on my PC and standalone dvd player.

I have an NEC1100A, and use the following combination of software with good results:

DVDShrink v3 beta 5
Nero 5.5
WinDVD 4

what version of Nero and what template are you using? I use 6.0.0.11 and burn with DVD-Video with no problems.

Problem was solved by installing windvd, which played it perfectly.
