  1. The reason I was asking is that I have the RP-62 Panasonic in the living room and the Sanyo DWM-395 in the bedroom....and i'm about to purchase a DVD writer for my pc and have found that my RP-62 accepts +r and +rw but I can find no info about the Sanyo....If the Sanyo accepts +r and +rw then I can save some cash by buying a burner that only does +r and +rw burning.......any info would be appreciated......thanks

You wont be saving that much cash. Also, how do you even know that the sanyo will even play a -R let alone a +R ?

You need to find out first either way. Buy the +R burner and if the sanyo wont play it then you can always return it for a dual format burner, Im sure they would be happy to exchange it if your moving up a bit in price.

  3. Bought one at Walmart for my son, checked everything, plays DVD+R in both book types (DVD+R and DVD-ROM), - R and +RW .Didn't check - RW. I check DVD-R made with my Panasonic E30, and won't play, all others -R played OK
