Does anyone make an USB wireless keyboard that has extra ports on the keyboard? My brother is wanting for Christmas an USB wireless keyboard that he can plug his USB trackball into and also use. I've looked around but found nothing. Does anyone make such a keyboard?

  2. I have never seen one. You're up agianst a problem though. A USB connection normally provides power. If the wireless keyboard had a plug, then the battery would be forced to power any devices connected to it as well. That would drain a battery pretty quick.

Doesn't mean its impossible though. Its a pretty cool idea. Someone should make it if they don't already.

Have you thought about just buying him a wireless trackball and a wireless keyboard? It could accomplish the same thing.

I've thought about it, but thought I could save some money if I could find one like this.

Wireless keyboards see a lot more disruption than a wireless mouse. We have a wireless keyboard at work and when you're really typing fast you can see the lag on the keystrokes. It throws me off at least. I also had problems gaming as it doesn't like to have too many keys stomped on at once. The keyboard we have is a new Logitech so it isn't like it's old-school or something.

I have a wireless keyboard/mouse on both of my computers at home (they are both right next to each other) and have no problems with either of them. I can type pretty fast and the letters show up on the screen as I type them. I dont do much gaming so I can comment on that. Also no problems when pressing multiple keys either. They are both Logitech.
