  1. I have a problem. I don't know if this is a big problem or not. All I know is that for some reason the mpeg1 videos of mine are cut short.
I can only watch 3/4 of them and suddenly the videos stop in Windows Media Player. In other words, the video only shows 3/4 of the clip; the duration is, for example, supposed to be 4 minutes, but I can only view 3 minutes. I know that my videos mpeg1 are complete because when I used Power-Dvd, all my video mpeg1 play to the end.

Is there a way I can play my mpeg1/mpeg2 fully using Windows Media Player 6.4

I installed most of the codec related to mpeg1/mpeg2/avi/divx etc..
and I uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing seems to work.

    HELP!

Is it only MPEG-1 files that do this? And does the same file stop at the same place every time? You may have corrupted/bad frames that for some reason the other program ignores. I have some MPEG-1 files that act as though they are missing parts (for example, a 20 MB file that only plays for 30 seconds - but if I wait until close to the end of the 30 sec. and drag the pointer backward, I see more of the clip that apparently didn't exist). Have you scanned for bad frames?
