    RAM....

256 is a working minimum for WinXP.

Grab another stick or two of RAM and boost that puppy up.

willy_annand is right, A stick of 512 would really boost your performance, I noticed a big change when I added 512 to my 256 on my old system, but when I built my new system I decided to start off with 1gig of 3200 ram. You should be able to get a stick of 512 for under $100.
