    I was wondering if Sony offered any firmware updates for this player? I looked on the Sony site and didn't see any section to download firmware or software of any kind.

    I have the same player and was wondering why do you need a new firmware? Is anything wrong with the original one?
    I don't think Sony has ever offered upgradable firmware for its DVD players.

    The changer is working just great however I really think Sony shortchanged us on the menu "Categories" list. I was hoping for a firmware that added a few more Categories or even better the ability to generate one myself.

    BTW is there anyway to directly input a disc number from the remote without going to the menu first?
