  1. Hi,

I am trying to do a DVD backup of Dracula2000 using the mpeg2dec guide from Doom9's webpage. I have done a number of them in the recent past with the same method and been quite successful, not today though.

I re-installed my OS yesterday and thought I brought it back to the point where it was before but now when I run my AVS script all I get is this:
    "Unrecognized Exception!"
    "(G:\DVD_TO~1\MPEG2D~1\DRACULA.AVS, line2)"
I have re-installed AVISynth, redone my *.d2v project file, and some other things, and nothing. I am using the same basic working script I was using before, it is straight off of Doom9's webpage.

I have ran a small avs script, the "Version" one and I get what I am supposed to so I know AVISynth is working.

The last peice of info is that I ripped the DVD before I re-did my OS. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.

    I am stuck, please help
    Sorry for the long post

  2. Try running TMPGEnc with the VFAPI plug in, 1.2i or below will do fine..

TMPGEnc has superior quality to any other encoder anyway..

    Good luck!

Well vested in the following: Pinnical DC-10+, TMPGEnc, AVI_IO, VirtualDub, Flask, BBMpeg, SmartRipper, DVD2AVI

MDK, please post the complete avs. There is something wrong in line 2. Usually this is
    mpeg2source("G:\full path\movie.d2v")

  4. Hi,

Thanks for your responses. I eventually figured it out. It came down to the fact that although the VFAPI plugin was checked in DVD2AVI the latter could not locate the actually plug-in. Once I put both pieces of software on the same in drive and in thier own folder everything worked out fine. I guess I thought I had tried everything but I guess not.

Thank you again for your help and sorry for the lengthy delay in responding.
