    before u all tear me to sh_trags,yep, ive read and read,but my brain is bruisy...ok, here is the jist...d/loaded from kazaa,dvd-divx.avi file, 580,000kb...now ive done wot afonic says in his tutorial about converting it to mpeg..is this wot i have to do?...was all going fine till i chose my file on TMPGEnc, it said, "can not open,or unsupported...so, i read again,from Baldrick,i went into option window,environmental window,VFAPI plug-in,and made Directshow multimedia increased priority to +2..still nothing.. am i going about this the wrong way,1st timer me!..i just want the pleasure of d/loading file of film and putting it onto dvd or cd...i have 2 cd,s to this film ..each 1hr and 5 mins long..i gotta start somewhere,so, my genius buddies,put me in my place,tell me im crappybrainless, but most of all,i,ll be grovelling all night to your brill simple step by step answers...go easy on me.

    Ack...the p-word just want's to fly out of my mouth.

    Assuming you've checked it for errors, and assuming it hasn't been 'fixed' it should work.

    Try getting the 4cc changer and reset your headers to divx/divx (lower case), that works 98% of the time.

    If that fails, try frameserving via VDUB (you can append the 2 files and encode to 1 MPEG2 stream instead of 2).

  4. Load the file in gspot to see what codec it uses, and make sure you have the appropriate codec installed.
