LVD firmware upgade problem

I have downloaded latest v3 beta firmware. Used iso buster to retrive files and burned them with copy to dvd. I have an ISO image that is reeding no dropouts in nero speed, copyed to tdk cd-rw.
I place into the LVD 2001 and it tells me it is an update disk says it is reading the disk then 5 seconds later it just stops and switches off. no update has been done i am still on v 227.
Can anybody help please.

What the hell are you doing? Go open nero, then open the .bin, click burn and thats it.

Also i believe from the last time i used the update is it's supposed to drop to black cause that is when it starts to load up the operating system from the cd it takes awhile but just wait. It takes a minute so don't be impatient i thought the same thing when i did it but i had pateients and then the updating began.
