I need to change DV-AVI type II files from 720x480 to (f.e.)352x240.

I'm using capturing with Pure Motion or MSP6 VidCap.
Vitual Dub can't open DV-AVI files.
I can't get AviSynth to work properly:
    I've tried AVS :
    DirectShowSource("c:\temp\video\captura\seba15B'20 010709 15.42.54.avi&quot
I can see the video on WMP , but I don't get any sound (?).
I can feed .AVS file to VDub. But Vdub can't save DV-AVI type II (or yes?). And no sound too.

(TEMPGenc 12i crashes when I try to load this .AVS)

How can I convert from DV-AVI type II to same type with different size????

    Thanks for your help!

  5. VDub CAN open DV AVI (both types I and II). I capture DV with both Premiere 6 and Studio DV and I can open both of them in VDub. You just have to have the correct codec. In the windows registry, there is only one entry that tells windows which codec to use. I can capture using both the Pinnacle codec (miroDv**.dll) and the Microsoft codec (qdv.dll) but I can only open DV AVIs in VDub using the Pinnacle codec. There's a link to the website here in vcdhelp forum which discusses this. Search the forum for keyword = field order.
Wrt avisynth, I don't know why you're using directshowsource("clip&quot. I use avisource("clip&quot and I can open them without problems.
    Hope this helps.

    Thanks Lin(o: ,

When I try to open a DV-AVI T.2 (created with MSP6 or using Fire Wire capture) gives me the following error:
"Couldn't locate decompressor format 'dvsd' (unknow)"

How can I see or change my codec ? (I'm using W.2000)

  7. search the forum for keyword "field order" or "codec page". one of the threads here has a link to a page that discusses dv codecs.
