I have a new concert DVD that I'd like to be able to listen to on a regular CD player. Is there a way to record the soundtracks to a regulart CD??
When I look at the DVD using MS Explorer, there are two folders; AUDIO and VIDEO. The AUDIO folder is empty. The VIDEO folder primarily has VOB files.
Thanks.

Well, first you need to rip the cd using something like smartripper or dvddecrypter (sp?). Then use dvd2avi to get the d2v and wav file...you only need the wav. Now all can delete everything else and you can play around w/ the wav file with any audio program or burn it as is.
I've never tried doing this but there's no reason why this shouldnt work...
EDIT: Also, there's probably an easier way to do this but this is the only way I know. -
You might be able to use DVD DECRYPTER in IFO MODE ---> STREAM PROCESSING to demux the AC-3 audio track.
Then you can convert the AC-3 to WAV using BeSweet or HeadAC3he
Once you get it into WAV format it will be one long WAV so you need to use a WAV editing program (such as GoldWave) to cut it into "chunks" if you want seperate tracks on the final CD otherwise you could leave it as one big WAV as long as it isn't over 80 min long.
