I NEED HELP PLEASE I AM TRYING TO BACKUP UP THIS MOVIE AND EVERYTHING I TRY KEEPS GIVING ME THE SPECIAL EDITION COMMENTARY CAN ANY HELP ME WITH JUST GETTING THE MAIN MOVIE NO COMMENTARY THANX IN ADVANCE

Do do not tell us what program you are using and you do not tell us how you are ripping the DVD. I have no clue on how to help you. Bet bet out of the dark usa ANYDVD from www.slysoft.com and dvdshrink and make a full DVD back up

first let me apoligize for the caps next dumb thing i forgot to do was supply info i have tried ripping with dvd shrink v1.03 don't laugh its work fine for everything till now if it ain't broke don't fix it. next was dvd decrypter and last was dvd fab and i recieved the same results with each one only the movie with commentary. in dvd shrink vts 01 appears to be the main movie with no commentary but i can't get it to ripp it keeps ripping vts 05 which appears to be the commentary version any help please thaanx

Try the newest version of dvdshrink and use anydvd with it at www.slysoft.com also try clonedvd they give you a 30 day trial. Also if that does not work dvd2one. But if you use anydvd and shrink I bet it will work you do not have to rip the DVD to the hard drive with ANYDVD works right from the DVD-ROM drive.

i tried any dvd just caused my system to lock up so i uninstalled it

Make sure the selected video is actually the movie and not the commentary.I backed up finding nemo,and the commentary was selected instead of the movie as it was longer than the actual movie.Most programs will select the longest video,assuming it is the movie.

i tried selecting the smaller movie but it still gives me the movie with commentary no matter which one i select

Try backing up the hole DVD copy ever thing

I backed up hollywood homicide with dvdshrink v3.0beta5 and nero ... It has both wide screen, and full screen formats

DVDshrink had both of those as the main movie ... I choose to ditch the full screen, so I took it down to still pictures, lost the audio. That left my wide screen movie at 100%.
