  1. Hello
    first off i have a bought version of NBA Live 2004 to play online but my cousins come over to play it and they arent to good with discs so is there a way i can direct copy my nba live to use that as a regular use game not to go online with and one more question what kind of burner should i get if all i want to do is backup my playstation 2 games i have a sony pcv-rx650 sony vaio digital studio pc and i might get something for thankgiving so any help before tommorow will help thanks

  4. if you machine is already chipped all you need is a dvd burner & some software to back up the game....

    i have a pioneer 105 & i use nero (came with the writer) i have backed up over 30 games with out a problem (well untill my back up gets damaged by the kids)

    Well, here's the deal.

    1. You can just copy the game. Put in a disc, hit "copy", and wait. There is no "protection" per se.

    2. You can play online, except for newer games. The latest online games check for the original and detect mod chips.

  6. thanks for the replies now all i need now is to get a dvd-burner i dont know what to get i think i should wait if it will get cheaper what kind do you guys suggestions i juist want to back up ps2 games and i have nero 6 and stomp record max , dvdclone software

  7. You could search the forum first....its covered almost daily.

    Use -r disks

    Use any dvd writer.

    Can't suggest one has I have no idea what computer/OS you have.

  9. Ok Speaking from my experience only, I have NOT been able to play any PS2 backup copies with anything BUT -r format. DVD movies WILL play on my PS2 with any of the formats +-r/+-RW.

    Next, I have not been able to play any of the new EA sports or Midway games Online with a back up. I have a mod chip and I can defeat it. I have a flip top cover as well, have disabled my chip, run the flip top software, inserted a backup and still NO DICE playing Online.
    I believe the powers at be are currently working on a fix for this but until..........


    ANyone have any luck with Online backups of the newer games????
