  1. Hi! When I try to convert a Xvid file to SVCD or DVD I get the message that TMPGENc cant read the file! It seems it because of the Xvid-codec Why? I have the newest Xvid-codec, and I have tried to uninstal it some times but it didn`t seem to help!
    Please, can anyone help me?!

  2. TMPGEnc does not like Xvid files. If you don't already have it download 'AVI FourCC Code Changer' which is located in Tools under codecs.
Open the avi file in it and change 'xvid' to 'Divx'. This does not change the file, but fools TMPGEnc into thinking it's a 'Divx' avi. I find this the eeasiest way round the problem.

Other option is to change the 'VFAPI plug-in, of the environmental setting in options of TMPGEnc.
    This site gives settings: http://clik.to/divx2dvdr
    Go to TMPGEnc for settings.

    First way is best though.
    good luck!
