    I should add that I have seen DVD players for as low as $30.

    I agree with Bob W it will be much cheaper to buy a chead DVD player than buy a bunch of VHS tapes. Not to mention the the amount of space a stack of VHS tapes take up compared to a stack of DVDR on a spindal.
    Thats just a thought anyway.

    If u plan on selling bootleg tapes consider this. One of my best friends just had his house raided by FBI, one of his cousins bought a few DVDR backups from him, which in turned he copied to tape and started selling. On of the people he sold to started selling copies also they were turned in by someone. He turned my friends cousin in, who in turned, rated my friend out. When the FBI searched his house not only did they find a stash of pirated movies and anime, but a lot of software also.
    They are trying to give him the max count on each offense which if I remeber correctly stands at over 80. Lawyer told him that he won't see any prison time, but the bset he can hope for is oweing $25k in fines.
    So if thats your plan don't do it, its not worth it.

    I'm not going to go through the whole pirating is wrong speech.

    But basically all you need to do is route your DVD player through your VCR...and that's easy enough, yellow to vido in, white to audio in, red not connected with a normal analog VCR. make sure VCR is on channel 3, rear input, aux, (whichever one you have to turn it to turn VCR to channel 3 and hit channel down until it comes on), turn on DVD player hit play, take VCR remote...hit record....and wait.

    White = left audio
    Red = right audio
    Also on a "normal analog VCR", a stereo one that is. The white connector (cinch) is also used for mono-mode (perhaps that's what you mean?).

    I know how to connect them, and I know the red and white are for stereo...but the one asking the question, actually had to ask the question and I didn't want to confuse him.

    Sounds to me like it'll cost four bucks to get the correct answer here!

    Stereo is standard on VCRS and to leave the RED cable hanging is definitely a dollar answer

    Seems to me it would have been faster and easier to just hook the DVD player up to the VCR and try instead of asking the question here and going through al this.
