  1. Hi, I am using AVISynth 2.0.8 with CCE SP 2.5. When I try and load my avs video file into CCE it crashes. Can anybody tell me why?

A few reasons...1) Framesize not DVDcompliant for the framerate required, 2) CCE 2.5 has a bug that requires an audio input. Although you don't have to encode the audio, CCE 2.5 needs to think that it's getting it...

  3. What happens if I use CCE 2.6, and when you say the framesize is not dvd compliant does that mean I have to convert the framerate before I load the avs file into CCE? Thanks

Basically what I meant was, only legal framerates and framesizes are allowed.
CCE is a mean, fast, down and dirty encoder. It doesn't come with resizing, or any other bells and whistles that one would get from, say Tmpgenc.....
Look at the left hand side for legal DVD resolutions and framerates..

Give an example of your script. I could be mistaken, but I don't think that CCE 2.6 recognizes .AVS files.
