We have a 2 disc set of an animated film:
Disc #1: widescreen version + extras
Disc #2: fullscreen versin + extras
I've already backed up #1, but now I want to get the bonus features off of Disc #2 (my kids like the extras and I don't care about backing up the fullscreen version). I'd rather not bother with shrinking everything and just keep the extras at "no compression."
I know that in DVD Shrink, you can use Re-Author to just copy the main movie (usually Title 1). If I use Re-Author and leave out Title 1, the DVD-R should be left with just menus and extras, right?
Will there be a problem with the fact that the DVD has no Title 1 and will start with Title 2?
If so, do I have to re-number every title since I lost Title 1?
Thanks.

HarlanPepper, another option would be to use "Still Pictures" on the movie-title (in "Full disc" mode).
The DVD structure would be left intact (>> working menus), and with a bit of luck the extras might then require very little or no compression. -

BTW, does a Title correspond exactly to a chapter?

So, simply using re-author mode takes out all menus?
As a picture is better than a thousand words..

The menus can still be added to the re-author window, but they will become "normal" video streams and will lose their functionality.
Does that mean that the whole DVD will just play sequentially, meaning I have to keep skipping thru chapter after chapter to get to the bonus feature I want?
The titles will play sequentially, but you will be able to access them via your remote "title" button.

A title is usually a whole movie, a whole "extra", parts or the entirety of a menu....
