  1. Hi,
I have a collection of videos on various formats, DivX, MOV, ASF, AVI, MPG, etc....All are different resolutions/bitrate etc.....

I want to combine/join all of them using one tool and make them into a mpeg thst I can burn as a CD.

What's the best way I can go about doing this?

    Thanks,
    CJ

  4. Read the avisynth manual Avisynth is a frameserving program, it will allow you to take various source video/audio clips and join them together or back-to-back, and then you can feed the AVS (avisynth script file) to TMPGenc or CCE to encode one huge MPEG.

The other way to go is to just generate a lot of seperate MPEG files, then when you author place them back to back. Depending on how you author there may or may not be a slight pause between each MPEG/track. You said CD (which to my mind = VCD/SVCD/CVD and NOT DVD) so there would be a slight pause between each MPEG file.

  5. Great, tried working with this fantastic program and could load all my avi's and mpg's and source them to tmpgenc

The only problem I have is that when I try to load a .mov file, it fails saying something about class not being able to load or something. I even added the fps 29.970 to the line and it still woudn't work.

Any idea how I can load all the mov's?

    Thanks,
    CJ

Please TRY post in the right forum. This has nothing to do with DVD to, I'm moving it to the conversion forum.

Canopus Procoder does this very nicely using the "stitch" feature. Just load everything (.avi, .mov, mpeg, .divx), check stitch, check your output format (VCD,etc.) and let it rip.
