Hello all, I just purchased the Philips DVDR75 and really like the features. my only obstacle right now is getting my DVCam footage into the DVDR75.
I have a Canon ZR40 dvcam and have the 4pin to 4 pin firewire(ilink) cable connected to the front of the recorder. I have the setting to "CAM2" like the manual suggests but it says there is "no signal". any ideas about this?
any ideas to what is wrong with my setup or tricks that will alleviate this obstacle would be appreciated.
my email is:
joelphil@yahoo.com
thank you for your help,
Joel

Probably you already solve it by yourself but anyway if it could help somebody else i answer even i have a JVC and not a Canon.
In the JVC camcorder menu you have to set "DV out" to send the digital signal from the camcorder to the DVR75. If you let "DV in" the i link cannot work
