some disks won't let me extract the files
so far Finding nemo and PoolHallJunkies doesnt work. I get an error that says: "Failed to decrypt video title set 3" or set 2 (depending on the disc) if i choose skip, then i can't watch the movie. Not sure if different mac sofftware would rip better? so far 50% of the dvds i tried have worked (2) and 50% have not (2). I wonder if this program is only able to rip 50% of dvds.

The reason you get that error is because some of the new disc encrypt the title menu (in the case of Finding Nemo, the THX Audio Menu is encypted and just happens to sit right before the movie.) and some of the other menu's are encypted in more than one location. This is more common on discs that have animated intrances before the title menu. The current release of DVDBackup (1.3) does not support for decrypting of those types of menus yet. There is a workaround, however. What I did to make a backup of mine is that I used DVDBackup and pressed skip when prompted. Then, I used DVD2OneX to extract the movie (the actual movie is decrypted, only the title menu is still encrypted) and make it a standalone movie. Worked fine. DVD2OneX is listed in the tools section and can be purchased for about $55-60 USD from http://www.dvd2one.com. Good investment, if you ask me. Hope this helps.
