That my Sony PCR9 DV camcorder creates every time you make a clip? Are these files necessary to burn onto a DVD? It's kind of a pain as it automatically makes a new file folder and places the mpeg clip and SES file into it. After taking clips from various tapes of our guys run to the LL World Series this year I have like 100 clips to make up a DVD. Not really knowing I deleted most of the SES files and just lumped all the Mpegs into 1 folder. Will I still be able to burn these clips to a DVD without these SES files??
Thanks in Advance,

I have a different problem related to the .ses file typeI have all these video captured files from my camcorder stored on my hard drive and I was going to edit them and burn them on DVDs. Recently something happened and they all have now the _SES at the end of the file name and can't see them as video files anymore. I suspect that some software that I've reloaded recently (maybe for my mp3 player, SonicStage ?), has somehow converted them to this format. Let me explain a bit what was changed: every folder name where I have the clips, the name changed by adding the _SES. If I open the folder, I see the file with a small blurry Windows Media player icon and the file name with the extension .ses, the size and 'SES file'. When I double clik on it, the player comes on with a message saying it does not recognize the format but if I know that is from a secure source I can play it. I do that but nothing happens after that. I've tried couple of things, changed the Folder name by eliminating the _ses and I renamed the video files with the .mpeg extension. Once I did that the small blurry icon changed into the real clear bigger Windows Media Player icon. But still the file would not be recognized by the Windows Media Player and it woould not play it. I kinda desperate to save my clips so maybe someone can help us...

Sorry but.....
This is the 2nd funniest thing I have seen in a long time. I can't tell you the first.
What you did is called hijacking a thread (threadjacking). If you had been the original poster it would be called a 2 year old bump.
Pardon me for asking, but why didn't you just start a new thread? Nobody ever answered the original
