You should be able to get the size by viewing the properties of the DVD in My Computer.

I would suggest DVDShrink (its free). You can download it through the tools section. There are also links for guides which will lead you through the process.

    Good luck.

Thats a crock! If you did a search for this you would have found it easily.
Look at the guides to the left. It is there and will explain a whole lot more than what you will get in responses here besides buttheads like me telling you to search.

use DVD decrypter and go to ISO, read. When the DVD information comes up, If the file size is under 4.6 megs, you can use that program only to make an iso copy and write to your dvd-r also.

If over 4.6 megs, use DVD shrink or my favorite CloneDVD to fit it down to one DVD-r.

  6. Can you use DVD shrink to shrink a MPG movie to enable this to be burned to a 80 min CD?

GOLFING: Don't Hijack posts. The answer is no, not remotely related to your question, go read the guides.

  8. Apologies but i didnt realise i had hijacked the post.

I thought the whole idea of this forum is to ask questions and then for others to help answer them.

    Sorry anyway.

  9. Golfing: If you want to shrink and MPG to fit on a single CD then VCD is your best format. There are various tools to do this. I like DVD2SVCD the best. But I would stick to the SVCD format if possible eventhough it may require 2 to 3 CDs. Even better, just put it on a dvdr!! Get AnyDVD and CloneDVD and do an On-The-Fly backup!! WHOO HOOO! ROCK ON!!

If somewhere on the cover or disc it says "dual layer" and/or "layer change may trigger a slight pause" then it's a -9 (or maybe even a -18 if it's double sided; I've never seen one).

If my (small) collection is anything to go by, -5's are in the minority.
