I am using DVD shrink to rip the disc, and then I open NERO burn DVD video and drag the files from my dvd shrink directory into the VIDEO folder on the DVD burning menu. I burn the disk and It will work in computers but not standealone DVD players. I have burned them at 2x and 4x, I was using some cheapy 4x DVD-R so I tried hp dvd+RW discs and those don't work either. Please help

  4. Did you make a empty AUDIO_TS folder? Some standalone dvdplayers need that folder.

The easist way is to use NERO EXPRESS. NERO makes the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS for you. Since I use it, no problems at all and all the standalone dvdplayers plays the backups without any problems.

I'm having the same problem. Previous burns worked fine on my stand alone DVD player. My latest attempt has failed a dozen times. I've tried using Ulead, TMPGEnc Author, and DVD Shrink..and burned with Ulead, Roxio and Nero. The results work fine on the PC but I get a No Disc message on my DVD. Could it be DVD Shrink that's the culprit? I compress 5 gb to 4.3...

  7. try using image tool classic to create an .iso file from the ripped DVD files, and then burn with nero or DVD decrypter.

I had problems with dvd-r's burnt on nero. CloneDVD can burn end result dvd files even if it did not process them (i.e. processed with DVD Shirnk). 3 coasters in 200 burns. good record!

Does your player support DVD-R? You can't assume it does.
