What do you mean "improves Directx" ???
DirectX is a cover name for a collection of services
DirectDraw - 2d/video display
Direct3D - 3d rendering
DirectSound - sound rendering
DirectMusic - MIDI rendering
DirectInput - input control mouse/joystick
DirectPlay - Game networking services
Since you mentioned video card - I'm guessing your only interested in DirectDraw or Direct3D
But what do you mean basic update from Microsoft??
Microsoft invented the DirectX suite - they are the people who produce updates -
I know that Microsoft created Directx. I use a dvc150 which i know people say it sucks but i paid alot of money for it so i want to get the best out of it. Someone people said that dazzle uses directx to capture but i could be wrong. So I was wondering what i could do to improve on directx besides just updating.

Mostly because it's not the limiting factor here.
Most people say it sucks because it can't capture full frame video without either
1 dropping huge amounts of frames
2 the quality looking terrible
3 both 1 and 2
This is due to the physical limitations of the device - USB 1.1 was not designed to transfer uncompressed video - which is what the DVC 150 is doing. Most USB 1.1 implementations that are satisfactory use onboard compression BEFORE transferring the data along the USB pipeline
I hope you didn't pay alot of money on this card recently....
Also it's a very roundabout way to ask for help on a dvc150 capture device with a title of - video card and then talking about directx
you might have got more responses with a title similar to -
dvc150 poor capture result, suggestions??
