  1. I am hoping to find a technical answer to this problem.

I have an IOMEGA +- Burner with the latest firmware and are using Shintaro 4x media which have a media code of Princo. I figured that to try and ensure a successfull burn, I would set NERO6 to burn only at 2x speed. Everytime I do this I receive verift errors at different areas of the disks.

I then started burning at 4x and 10 disks later, I have not had a problem.

Can anyone shed some light on why this would happen? Mayby something is done differently at 2x than 4x.

I dont have the exact media info and write strategy with me but if you would like to see it, i can get it.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. I didn't have problems with princo till a couple months after burning at 4x. Then they quite playing in my dvd players. Luckily I could still rip and burn to new media saving me another capture and backup. Avoid princo. Used A05 as a burner. Not sure why 2x is an issue however longevity is problem no matter what.
