    Hello,

Can anyone tell me if there is a way in DVD Shrink where you can keep the menus structure and movie but ditch the extras. If you go into the Author section it is only the titles of the movie and not the menu.

    Please advise.

    Bummer,
If I have a DVD I have previously backed up using DVD Shrink can I do a straight copy of it for another copy?

I do have the original I just figured it would be faster to do a straight copy as I will not have to go through the whole shrink process again.

What do you mean in full?

  6. the shrink process will be quite fast because with this method you are NOT re-authoring. with your copy simply drag the files (with folders) to the hard drive, point Shrink to the VIDEO_TS folder, and follow the instructions on post. shrink's processing time should be a matter of minutes. the most time-consuming leg is getting the files onto the hard drive unless you have both player and burner on same system (and are running AnyDVD or the like to unencrypt the origibnal dvd on the fly). but if the copy is complete (menus, extras) and you have both unit on same sys point shrink to the folder on the rom and you'll be done on no time.
by FULL i mean if you did a full backup (no re-authoting) the first time. if you reauthored you would have lost the navigational links in the menus/chapters.

  10. You can do this with DVD Shrink (see guide/workarounds) but IFOEdit is an easier way to go (guides here and at http://www.doom9.org). I know that a lot of people find IFOEdit 'scary' but you should use the right tool for the job.
