For the purpose of making DVD menus, I like to search through videos and grab representative still images.
I've been using PowerDVD. It can easily grab high quality stills, but I find it a pain to search through the video using PowerDVD.
It would be nice if you could hold down the right arrow key and it would fast forward through the video a frame at a time, and then to hold down shift + right arrow key to fast forward through the video by keyframes. This is the behavior of Virtual Dub.
My current method of finding stills consists of pausing PowerDVD, and then randomly clicking all along the timeline.
Anyone know of another player that might be easier to use?
