I am using my pioneer 106D with ANY/CLONE DVD. It works fine with +RW media but does not work with +R media. I read somewhere in this forum that the pioneer write +R in a format different from the way other writers do ... is this TRUE?
With ANY/CLONE DVD the burning on +R media goes through without any errors reported and the disk pops out fine on completion. But the +R won't playback on any standalone player (mine is pioneer 535). In fact the DVD+R won't even play back on the 106D. It wont even read the +R it just burnt.
I am using Verbatim DatalifePlus DVD +R & RWs. It works fine for +RW.
Please help as this forum has such high regard for the pioneer 106d. I would hate to think that it does not write +R in standard format to other drives.
Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Try using a different program for burning your DVD's, such as RecordNow Max. Alot of people seem to like to use RNM rather than Nero and others. I use Nero and RNM.
