  1. Hi every one

i'm in the middle of backing up my 'Bringing Down The house' i've already removeed al the languages & i thought while i was on with it i would remove the spanish menu thats on there to

but on this dvd the english & spanish are all mixed in to different id's (when i've done this in the past it was easy somthing like id's 2 - 12 were the english menu & 13 - 23 were the other one) but there all over the place in this one..

so does any one know of any tools that show you whats on the id's. i have been using vobrater in the past but on this film it mainly comes up that it could not render the graph

    Cheers

have you tried running VOBRator in 256 colours?, this may fix the issue you are having

if it still doesn't play then this isn't exactly a method but it's how I identified ID's that I wanted removing HERE

instead of using PowerDVD, use Windows Media Player or ZoomPlayer as they will display the stills even better without the need for using repeat

how are you playing them in Ifoedit?. It does tell you the VOB ID's of whatever you play. You just double click the entry to play it

    Language Menu Unit 1: [English]
    Menu 1: [Root-Menu] (entry PGC) (Programs: 3) (Cells: 3) (uses VOB-IDs: 1,2)
    Menu 2: [entry only] (Programs: 7) (Cells: 7) (uses VOB-IDs: 4)
    Menu 3: [entry only] (Programs: 2) (Cells: 2) (uses VOB-IDs: 5)
Menu 4: [entry only] (Programs: 0) (Cells: 0)
Menu 5: [entry only] (Programs: 0) (Cells: 0)
    Menu 6: [entry only] (Programs: 5) (Cells: 5) (uses VOB-IDs: 6)
Menu 7: [entry only] (Programs: 0) (Cells: 0)
    Menu 8: [entry only] (Programs: 1) (Cells: 1) (uses VOB-IDs: 3)
Menu 9: [entry only] (Programs: 0) (Cells: 0)
Menu 10: [entry only] (Programs: 0) (Cells: 0)
Menu 11: [entry only] (Programs: 0) (Cells: 0)

  5. I play then through ifo edit the way you mention the problem is, is that you know you should a little demo & id's 1 & 2 where together well on this dvd it has about 7 or 8 id's all together (just loaded ifo edit up, there's 18 id's all on 1 line) so its hard to tell when 1 starts & the other 1 finishes as ifo edit does not tell you the exact id it plays...

You mentioned about running vobrater with 256 colors.. how would i do this as i have not seen any options on vobrater when i load it up

mine was the same, I noticed 1 & 2 in the same line, I just couldn't play it to check as I only had the IFO

    you got XP?

right click the Vobrator.exe and then click Properties and then the Compatibility tab and adjust the settings, finally clicking apply

I have mine setup similar to this

  7. Yeah I've got XP
Just tried that out with vobrater sadly it still comes up failed to render graph

Thanks for the help, you that other way you mentioned doing it (with all the seperate file & then playing them back through media player) does that way take long i have over 30 id's to find out what they are?

shouldn't take that long to split if they are just still menu's, all depends on your PC but it should only take seconds. Playback should only take a few minutes too as all you do is drag and drop each one into the player and you will instantly know whether you want it or not

make a note whether you want to keep it or not then strip them out using Ifoedit. You could have Ifoedit ready and untick one when you see it as you play them

have you not tried MenuEdit?, that would be ideal for what you want to do as not only will it remove the VOB ID's for you, you can also disable any buttons that lead to those menu's
