  1. yes i have a bin file that will not delete from my computer is says
    Cannot delete <filename.bin>: Access is denied. Make surethe disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not curently in use.
    I tried deleteing the file in safe mode and no luck. Any suggestions any-1.

    im using win XP pro

    I've had a few like that. It's probably associating with a program. I have changed the filename and/or extension and managed to fool the system into letting me delete it. May need a reboot then delete. I'm sure there's an easier way, but that's the only thing that worked for me. Bigger question is why they are created?

    Those type of files i cut and paste to the desktop and delete and if i cant delete then reboot and delete,maybe a simple question but you dont have the bin file mounted by daemon tools or alcohol 120%?

    theres a free program called absolute file shredder that i use to to get rid of files that wont delete normally

  5. johns0, i feel like a dumb ass, yes it was mounted in alcohol 120. It deleted after i unmouted it. Thanks all for the help.
