Is there a rough rule of thumb with the bitrate settings for `time` against `output file size`? I am trying to `export to MPEG` from Premiere 6.5 using the latest Adobe MPEG encoder download - two separate movies which I will combine in DVD authoring , but must not exceed the 4.7 Gb limit in total. Trial and error is fine but takes rather a long time !
Thank you.

Mainconcept gives estimated file size for video and audio. Look in the output window for the information.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
