Is all media with the same MEDIA CODE, eg. MXL RG01, the same?
ATERRA media is dirt cheap right now, but they have only elicited bad comments. However, a search of the same media code reveals other brands with the same code, but better comments.

A few media codes have been faked in the past by companies making horrible media. I know that Maxel had it happen to them, and I think TDK also had it happen a while back. So any ultra cheap media with either code thats not being sold in offical packaging in a store I would be wary of.

Thanks for the reply. The ATERRA media is sold in Canada by COMPUSMART and COMPUCENTRE... two longstanding chains.
$39.99 for a spindle of 25 blanks is the cheapest "retail" available locally.
