I just backed-up a copy of Zoolander and was extreamly pissed off when half way through watching the movie it froze and got a screwed up. Is there some programthat will test your freshly burnt DVD quickly to see if you backed it up properly or if there is any errors?![]()

You just used the best tool there is. YOUR player. After all it IS a backup, made to play in your house, and if it won't play on your machine, you either need another machine or you have to find a different encoder.
That may not help, either. Some machines simply will not play a VCD/SVCD.
Just what machine are you running?
Cheers,
George
Sorry just reread and it's a DVD, but same deal. -
Might be "questionable" media, but there are programs that will check your dvd for bad sectors such as Isobuster, Nero CD/DVD Speed, and CD Check - but they can miss things sometimes, such as if your disc crashes when you hit a certain button, etc. Try one of those out, Isobuster and CD Check are free, Nero CD/DVD Speed might be free as well.
My 2 cents
