  1. OK, i done a test encode on a extra feature from a dvd by resizing it down to 352x576, ive authored it using ifoedit author. So now i have the vobs ,ive updated vts sectors.
What i would like to know is how can i burn these files to a cdr so my player will reconise the disc. The files are only 310mb.Ive tryed burning the files the same way as i would a dvdr but i get a wrong disc format error come up on my player.I also tryed that minidvd thing in nero(dont have much of a idea of what minidvd is, i can only guess), i get the same error.

So how can i burn these files so they work ???

ps, im not wasting a dvdr for 310mb and my player does'nt read dvd-rw as ive already tryed.

Some players do not play miniDVDs. But I do know if you put a blank
CD-R disk in your burner, run Video Studio, and tell it to make a DVD with the CD-R, it will make one. Trouble is, it does not like VOBs.

Since you already got the authored VOB, IFO, and BUP files, could you burn them with a burning program (such as Nero), with the CD-ROM ISO setting? And put the VOB, IFO and BUP files in a VIDEO_TS folder, and add a blank AUDIO_TS folder. Just wondering, since DVDs are burnt in ISO...

    Nero 5.5 burn as UDF/ISO data,make a VIDEO_TS directory for the files.
Nero 6 has a miniDVD template under CDR and includes the VIDEO_TS directory. I do miniDVD this way but many DVD players donot support miniDVD.

  5. I dont know any player playing cd-r with dvd struktur. Even if it is an UDF cd. I think DVD player first look with typ of media is in the player (CD or DVD). If it is a CD the player searchs for supported CD strukturs like audioCD, mp3CD,.... and ISO or UDF or UDF/ISO bright VIDEO_TS-struktur isnt supported for CD.
If you only need to burn for testing burn to DVDRW (UDF 1.02)

If I didnt understand your problem its my bad english!!!

  6. I think that, if bit rate is around 3Mbps, your player would play the miniDVD cd-r. By the way have you had a look at DVD players compatibility list on this site?
