  1. I'm converting avi to dvd successfully, using tmpg to encode video, and using ulead videostudio to extract wav, then besweet to encode to ac3.

My problem is that the audio is extremely loud. I can't find a way in Ulead to alter the volume. Is there a way in besweet to do it? If not, what simple way would there be to change the volume on the avi?

Alternatively, can I use VDub to extract a wav or ac3 and control the volume?

Try downloading the free Trial of Goldwave. It's an outstanding audio editor that has solved all of my audio problems. You can definitely adjust your .wav audio in Goldwave along with many, many other audio parameters.

  3. Use WAVGain or MP3Gain to adjust volume.

BTW...When encoding with TMPGEnc use Audio Edit to adjust volume.
