I just split a DVD-9 disc into two and tried burning the two copies. The first disc came out fine but I messed the second disc up some how. Is there a way to burn the second disc over w/o having to work from the original DVD-9 to make the split and burn BOTH discs over again? What I'm trying to figure out is how to burn JUST the second disc. I hope that made sense.
Also what is this TDF thing?
Thanks for the help.
Greg

I haven't used DVDXCopy in a while, but if I remember correctly there's an option to skip directly to the 2nd disk.
If it's not there then you could burn the 1st disk again on an RW disk and then just erase it. -
Anybody else? Oh yeah, should have mentioned I have the latest Platinum Version. Thanx.

Guess the company needs to put out some updates. Can't load files from HD either. Pretty bizzare.

Sorry man, but you have fallen prey to one of the greatest marketing ploys of the modern age.
Due to the quasi-legal nature of DVD backups, and the fact that they're the only ones willing to "take it on the chin", as it were, 321 Studios have garnered a significant market share... but have a REALLY lousy product.

They keep track of what you copy too...thats why you have to be online when you copy.
You know when it asks for a blank disk you can open explorer & copy those files it makes to another directory & use em later?
Hey, outpost.com is going to have dvdcopyexpress for $4.99 after rebate soon. -

Huh? I've used the original XCopy, XCopy Xpress and XCopy Platinum. I've never had to be online to make a copy- not before, during or after. You have to go online once to register (and you don't have have to do that- you can call and do it over the phone).
I believe they do watermark your copies. So if they find a couple hundred copies with your watermark they know they were all copied with the program registered to you. -
I also have to state that DVD X Copy does not require you are on-line to copy. I specifically disable my internet connection before running the program (to make sure no pop-ups or internet traffic interrupt the burning), and I've never had any problems.
As far as the files it make for you, simply select the files and make them 'Read-Only'. Then exit the program. It will not remove the output files. I use Nero to burn 'em because there's a handy 'Verify Disc After Burning' function that verifies each disc byte-for-byte. -
Put in the disk you want to copy and let XCopy start the copy. When XCopy tells you to insert a blank disk, move all the files that XCopy move all the files that Xcopy made to a different folder (or make them read-only). Then use another burn program (such as Nero, Instant Copy, etc) to burn them to a new DVD.

Platinum does. I fyoure not online you get a TRISTANA message. sigh -
I used the first release of Platinum (none of the updates) and it didn't require that. Maybe you should contact 321 and see if there's some other reason you get that message. Since there are still (believe it or not) people who used computers without an internet connection it's hard to believe that any program would require an internet connection while in use unless it's a program directly related to internet use.
