  1. (I didn't get any responses at another forum, but maybe I really need to ask it here.)
I burned a family video onto a DVD-RW that's about one gig in size. I now want to add another similarly sized video onto the same disc. I want to be sure that when I add the second video to the DVD-RW it doesn't overwrite atop the first one. I need good "how-to" directions for adding additional video to an existing DVD-RW. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  3. You'll probably have to erase the disc, then use an authoring tool (see the tools section) to get both of your movies on the disc. I like TMPGEnc DVD Author. It is pretty simple to use, and has a free trial. You can use a menu to decide which of the clips you want to play, or you can go without a menu and just play it from start.

Start by opening the program, start new program and then import clip. Unless your two clips are the same type you'll need to put them as different tracks. Once you import them you can edit them. Then go to the menu step to make the menu (you need one if your clips are set as different tracks). Finally, output the files and then use a burning prog to burn to DVD-RW.

  4. Copy the files on that DVD to your hard drive. Get the free trial of TMPGenc DVD Author. This program will let you create a new DVD using those DVD files and your new files.
