  1. Is there a program that can take a bunch of divx files as the source and then author a video dvd?

  3. So i take each individual divx file and convert to mpegII and then take all these mpg's and author a dvd with them?

What bitrate do I use for each divx file when converting to mpegII video, keep in mind I have multiple divx source files.

    Thats pretty much it.

If your multiple divx source files are for one movie, you might want to consider opening them in virtualdub and joining them together. You can then save out a new single divx file of the whole movie or frameserve from virtualdub to your encoder.

As for bitrate, use a bitrate calculator to determine the best bitrate for your playing time. The Online java one in the tools section should do the job.

  5. Its not multiple divx files for one movie, its a large number of 20 minute episodes of a tv show. Dont know if this makes any difference.

  6. In that case you probably want them as seperate mpegs. That way they will be seen as seperate 'movies' by the DVD authoring software.
