Hi guys, I'm a newbie and have been lurking for a few weeks trying to figure out this problem from alot of other folks posts, but I can't seem to get it figured out. I can encode from a .vob to a vcd, but get the following error message when I try to encode to SVCD.
INFO: [yuvscaler] yuvscaler (version 1.7.0) is a general scaling utility for yuv frames

I have Quicktime v6.4, and I installed the mpeg2 encoder plug-in, I have the QT box checked in the options tab. I use the SVCD Quick pre-set.
I trashed my 1st version of ffmpegX and reinstalled according to the directions, still no luck. I don't know what else to do. My machine is a Wallstreet G3 466Mhz with OSX 10.2.8, 512mb RAM. ( I know she's old, but she's built like a tank and is still performing beautifully 5 years later!)
    Help!

You have to install the QT mpeg-2 decoder plugin, not the QT mpeg-2 encoder plugin. To know if it is installed, try to open the .vob file in Quicktime Player. If no image appear, then it is not installed.

Thanks, Major. That was the correct answer. I installed the decoder and Voila! it works. Just a note to all you "older" G3 users....it works. It just takes a while....I'd say about 20 hrs for a regular DVD to SVCD.
    Thanks again Major. Great program.
