  1. did a backup of close encounters using DVD decripter, DVD shrink and imgtool. Everything went smoothly, played the DVD-RW (datawrite) on my dvd player on my PC, it played perfectly. Put it on my stand alone DVD and everything was great untill the last 20 minutes of the film when the picture became jerky, then came to a complete standstill at the end of the movie.

If this problem has been addressed somewhere, please point me in the right direction, otherwise any help would be appreciated.

What type of media are you using? Some of the cheaper media doesn't play well after 3.5 gigs.

also how old is the dvd-rw disc? does it have many scratches on it? when you use dvd-rw over and over they tend to pick up scratches here and there unless you like where a white lab coat, wear lint gloves and put on an oxygen mask! they get so fragile!
